WTW appoints head of North America major casualty broking
Global consulting, brokerage and risk management firm Willis Towers Watson (WTW) has named Casey Petersen as head of primary casualty broking for North America.
Petersen will lead the primary liability brokerage practice in North America, focused on developing and implementing risk finance solutions for WTW clients in the region. He will work in his new role in Chicago reporting to WTW Broking North America Chief Jon Drummond.
Petersen joined WTW for the first time in 2005 and has held numerous leadership positions in the US Midwest region. Prior to his promotion, he most recently led the Midwestern accident management team and before joining WTW, Petersen began his career as a commercial P&C underwriter at Chubb.

Earlier this month, WTW appointed Laura Samaroo as the new Regional Director for Canada. Most recently, Samaroo was the WTW market leader for Western Canada. In her new role, she will focus on strengthening customer relationships, providing strategic guidance to support business development, and promoting the company’s leadership skills.
