(Reuters) – Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson said it was time to blow up the tequila.
Standing on the coast, the celebrity wrestler and movie star put his arm around Jeff Bezos, the founder of Amazon.com Inc (NASDAQ :). Bezos in sunglasses smiled for a picture and then shared it on the gram The men had just announced a film deal for Amazon Studios.
Bezos, 57, is stepping down as CEO of Amazon on Monday. He will remain Executive Chairman and largest shareholder in the company, but his Instagram account shows that he has many other interests on his mind.
The science fiction fan is planning a joyride into suborbital space with his best friend and brother Mark this month, according to a recently published post. In another, Bezos sits behind the wheel of an electric pickup truck from Rivian, an Amazon-funded startup, and crosses the desert in a cowboy hat to watch a missile capsule land.
The final frontier has long drawn Bezos, who poured billions of dollars into his Blue Origin company to promote tourism and infrastructure in space. The company’s first manned flight is scheduled to depart on July 20, less than two weeks after Richard Branson’s Virgin Galactic, to usher in a new era of beyond Earth travel.
Bezos is leaving Amazon’s former cloud computing boss Andy Jassy to run a company that is bigger and more valuable than ever. It is unclear how Bezos will rule from the sidelines.

Neither Amazon nor Bezos responded to a request for comment.
Bezos said in a letter to investors in April that he will focus on new initiatives as chairman and make Amazon a better place to work. This followed employee frustration that showed up during a failed union campaign in Alabama.
However, his Instagram underscores his interest in Tinsel Town. Bezos covered Oscar Nicks and Golden Globe wins for Amazon Studios, and during his final annual meeting as CEO, he spoke about redesigning screen heroes for the 21st century through Amazon’s MGM purchase agreement.
(Not featured on his Instagram is a yacht that is longer than a soccer field, which Bezos allegedly owns and which, according to Bloomberg News, will be equipped with an escort yacht and a helipad. His partner, Lauren Sanchez, is a helicopter pilot.)
Bezos has also met with public officials to raise awareness of his philanthropy. He spoke to French President Emmanuel Macron about his climate efforts and gave Washington Governor Jay Inslee a guided tour of a homeless shelter, his posts show.
He also had fun with music stars Katy Perry, Lil Nas X, and Lizzo.
He wrote from the Super Bowl in 2020: “I just did a DNA test, it turned out I’m 100% the biggest fan of @lizzobeeating.”
