Tickets for this yr’s Tremendous Bowl are dearer than they’ve been in over a decade
The Super Bowl between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is only days away, and ticket prices are higher than any other Super Bowl in over a decade.
According to the StubHub ticket exchange, the Miami Super Bowl was the most expensive in 10 years last year, and this year’s game is even more expensive. The average price of a ticket sold this year is $ 7,589 compared to $ 6,410 last year, an increase of 18%.

Raymond James Stadium in Florida will only hold 22,000 fans, or about a third of the capacity. Of those 22,000 fans, 7,500 will receive free tickets dedicated to frontline health workers.
StubHub announced to MarketWatch that ticket prices could rise again in the days leading up to the game.
There is also the possibility that prices may rise again as traveling shoppers buy their tickets in the next 48 hours and local Tampa shoppers start buying. This is such a unique event this year – more than ever – with such an intimate audience that we strongly encourage fans to buy sooner rather than later before ticket sales wane. “
As of Thursday morning, 1,000 tickets will be available for purchase, far fewer than the 3,200 tickets that were available at this time last year.

Tampa Mayor Jane Castor brought up the idea of giving some of this year’s Super Bowl tickets to frontline health workers:
“Our country has been through so much in the last year and we cannot lose sight of those who have worked day in and day out to protect us,” Castor said in a press release.
