Can you have a job with high satisfaction that is also in the six figures? Yes, if you choose wisely.

US News & World Report found an answer for jobs paying $ 100,000 a year or more. “Not a single job suits us all, but many of the best have some things in common,” says the annual ranking of the “best jobs” for 2021. For the first time in three years, the software developer has not done this in No. 1 place. Dentists were also removed from the top 5 this year and placed in 9th place on the list.

# 1 was Medical Assistant (average salary of $ 112,260 per year; required training is a Masters degree); followed by a software developer ($ 107,510 per year that requires a bachelor’s degree); Nurse ($ 110,700 per year requiring a Masters degree); Medical and Healthcare Managers ($ 100,980 per year that requires a bachelor’s degree); and Doctor ($ 206,500 annually requiring PhD).

The researchers looked at jobs with the largest projected number and percentage of vacancies from 2019 to 2029, as determined by the US Bureau of Labor Statistics. They then looked at a number of other factors, rated on a scale of 1 to 10, including stress, future career prospects, unemployment rates, and a projected 10-year growth in the number of those jobs.
