Progressive Insurance announced the appointment of Remi Kent as Chief Marketing Officer effective November 1st. Kent (pictured) will succeed Jeff Charney, who announced his retirement in March.

Kent joins Progressive after eight years at 3M, where she served last year as Senior Vice President and Global Chief Marketing Officer for the Consumer Business Group. Prior to joining 3M, Kent spent 13 years with Procter & Gamble, where she led multi-billion dollar businesses in North America, Asia and Western Europe. In her new role, she will report to Tricia Griffith, President and CEO of Progressive, and will serve on the company’s Executive Leadership Team.

“I’m very excited to welcome Remi to the Progressive family,” said Griffith. “With over 20 years of marketing experience, she has a proven track record of working with and leading well-known global brands and I am confident that she is the right person to help drive our brand further.

“Their creativity and data-driven decision-making aligns with ours, and I know it will be a great fit for our culture. I look forward to having Remi as the newest member of my Executive Leadership Team and I would like to thank Jeff again for his passion and commitment to growing our brand over the past 11 years. “
