Philadelphia Insurance coverage Firms promotes CUO
Philadelphia Insurance Companies (PHLY) announced the promotion of John Doyle, Chief Underwriting Officer, to Executive Vice President. Doyle was named senior vice president in 2014 and CUO two years ago.
“John has spent his entire 32-year career at PHLY and has been at the forefront and focus on many of our corporate initiatives,” said John Glomb, President and CEO of PHLY. “His extensive industry experience and in-depth knowledge of PHLY have helped him serve as an invaluable guide and mentor. I look forward to continuing to work with John and look forward to seeing how he will continue to shape the future of PHLY. “

Doyle joined PHLY in 1989 and has worked in the company’s claims, product development and underwriting departments. He helped develop and launch many commercial products, including most of PHLY’s current sports and leisure products. Doyle also played a key role in many corporate initiatives aimed at improving profitability, process flow, and underwriting standards.
Doyle has the industry designations AIC and CPCU. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Maguire Industry of Insurance and Risk Management at Saint Joseph’s University.
