Lloyd’s of London looking for concepts for ‘re-imagined’ underwriting room

Do you remember the legendary drawing room at Lloyd’s of London? Think of it differently now, looking to the future (and what it may require).

This is what the insurance market is calling on stakeholders around the world, with an online collaboration hub that has set up crowdsource insights and ideas to “reimagine” the Lloyd’s drawing room. An initial crowdsourcing, which runs until February 28, is part of a market-wide consultation that includes initiatives such as virtual focus groups.

“This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of the drawing room and support space and services in the Lloyd’s building in London,” Lloyd’s said in an update.

“We want to understand your future working style preferences, how we can maintain Lloyd’s community spirit, and how we can attract new businesses and improve the user experience.”

The Collaboration Hub can be accessed via lloydscollaboration.com. In the meantime, a list of focus group events is also available on Lloyd’s website.

“This is the time to be brave – and dream big,” Lloyd’s continued.

“We want as many perspectives as possible to create an exciting and innovative experience that future-proofs the market, supports growth, attracts new talent and continues to bring brilliant minds together to share risks and develop new solutions.”
