“We are delighted to be joining the Brown & Brown group of companies and are extremely positive about this development for both the O’Leary Insurances team and our valued customers,” commented Archie’s son Anthony, majority owner of OLI, of the 1979 came on board.
“We see Brown & Brown’s choice of an Irish company as a European gateway as a strong endorsement from that country, and O’Leary Insurances is excited to join an organization whose culture and values are in many ways so similar to our own. ”
OLI, who will report to Brown & Brown Retail President Barrett Brown, will continue to operate from its existing offices under the direction of Anthony, but will also include Diarmuid Nolan, Brian Lennon, Michael Tarpey and Rossa Williams.
The younger O’Leary added, “We are particularly excited to bring the strength and experience of one of the world’s largest insurance brokers to the Irish market and we are confident that it will be of great benefit to all in the years to come.”
Brown, meanwhile, is “extremely pleased” and pointed out the similarities between the two organizations.
“Like Brown & Brown, O’Leary Insurances has grown from a family business to a leader in the Irish brokerage market by empowering teammates to succeed,” said the President of Retail.
“We strongly believe that with OLI we share the same culture of customer centricity by offering unique risk solutions that meet the needs of each customer. I look forward to our future in Ireland and beyond with Anthony, Diarmuid and the O’Leary Insurances team. “
