AXA XL faucets new basic counsel
AXA XL has announced the appointment of Pamela Rosado (pictured) as General Counsel effective February 8th. Rosado will report to AXA XL CEO Scott Gunter and will be based in New York. She succeeds Interim General Counsel Anthony Recine, who will return to his previous position as global litigation leader for AXA Group.

Rosado joins the company from MetLife, where she served as Senior Vice President and Chief Counsel, Litigation and Special Investigations. In this role she was responsible for all litigation and labor law matters in the United States and for the company’s Corporate Special Investigations Unit.

Before MetLife, Rosado held various management positions within the AXA corporate family, most recently as managing director and head of litigation and as head of the Financial Intelligence Unit at AXA Equitable Insurance Company. She has also held senior positions at AXA Group, including global litigation director and general counsel for the Mediterranean and Latin America region of AXA and litigation director at AXA Seguros in Mexico City.
Rosado is licensed in both New York and California and a member of the Litigation Committee of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel. She is also a member of the Board of Directors of the National Center for Law and Economic Justice.
