Gosset-Grainville was appointed to the AXA Board of Directors in June 2020 and is a member of the Finance Committee. He has extensive experience in economic and financial management and was Deputy Secretary General of the European Monetary Committee in 1997 and later of the Economic and Financial Committee of the European Union.

In 2007, Gosset-Grainville was appointed Deputy Director of the Prime Minister’s Cabinet, responsible for economic and financial matters and the management of the French state’s investment portfolio. In 2010 he was appointed deputy managing director of the Caisse des Dépôts et Consignation, the investment arm of the French state. From February to July 2012 he was also its interim chief executive. He is also a co-founder of the law firm BDGS Associés.

From 1999 to 2020 Gosset-Grainville was a consultant for economic and industrial matters in the office of the EU commissioner responsible for trade.
