AssuredPartners acquires Scottish agency | Insurance coverage Enterprise
AssuredPartners announced that it has acquired Scotland-based Borland Insurance. Borland was advised on the acquisition of Morphose Capital Partners, a London-based specialist in M&A, corporate restructuring and finance. On the AssuredPartners side, the acquisition process was led by David Heathfield, who heads the UK arm of the US-based company.
After the acquisition is complete, Borland will continue to be led by founder and CEO Jon Silcock. The company’s team of 30 will remain.
The acquisition provides AssuredPartners with a platform in Scotland from which to potentially grow through additional acquisitions.

“It has been a pleasure to work with David and his team at AssuredPartners,” said Nick Atherton, general manager at Morphose Capital Partners. “We wish you every success in expanding your regional business in the UK.”
“Nick, Dave Seaton and the entire team at Morphose added value at every step of the process,” said Silcock. “Morphose took the time to thoroughly understand Borland’s cultural values and the reasons for my goals for Borland’s future. While I was in the privileged position of having a significant interest in Borland, AssuredPartners was quickly identified as the right solution. I am very excited to be working with AssuredPartners and supporting the growth of the regional business in the UK. ”
